I have 16gb ddr3-1600 RAM, so I decided to give them a little push.
Original: 11-11-11-28 @ 800mhz x2 = 1600mhz (cpu-z read)
New (stable) 9-9-9-26 @ 965mhz x2 = 1930mhz (cpu-z read)
Would you guys consider this a good overclock, or is there more room for improvement?

Based on the overclocking I did in my desktop days, that sounds like a decent increase.
'Stable' in my book is 24 hours of memtest86+. Did you run any benchmarks to determine if there's a performance increase? -
Yes that OC looks like it should hold stable. I had tried getting my RAM to 1866 in another machine (different from my sig) but it was a pointless exercise other than the experience gained, imo. As such, I am a bit skeptical of the performance increase you will get out of this but I am curious to see numbers, if you would be so kind as to post some

Just a quick Q, what kind of sticks do you have? How did you overclock? Been reading that OCing memory means reflashing your sticks, right?
Anyway, I pretty much doubt that overclocking RAM is that useless. It's especially useful for programs that use the IGP, as well as video/3D rendering programs. -
I used intel extreme tuning utility/BIOS settings in my M17xR4 to set my timings and speed. I'm gonna try and tighten up timings some more.

I wouldn't use the word 'useless', but it sure depends on the workload...

Does anybody know what voltage ddr3-2133 and 2400 run at? I'm running my settings currently at 1.50v, but perhaps I can increase voltage, but how badly would this affect battery life if I jump to 1.55 or 1.65 V?

OP forgot to say what is the RAM he uses.
I bet it is lowVolt 1.35V CL11 RAM which is either Mushkin or Samsung. Hope it is Mushkin. -
-
Yeah, I really forgot. I didn't know anything about 2x8GB but 2x4GB sticks were really VERY overclockable. The most SODIMM 1600 RAM sticks I believe.

Hey guys.
I have a question. How can I overclock my RAM in my laptop CLEVO P370EM?
I have RAM Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz CL9 (12GB).
Thank you -
You do it through your BIOS or Intel XTU...
-
May need Prema's unlocked BIOS for P370EM for overclocking ram. I'm not sure whether the default BIOS locks the ram to a certain speed.
-
Despite XTU not set speed RAM. So probably only PREMA BIOS
THX -
Corsairs may work @1866 BUT my kit got faulty after some time because of overclocking. So you better just forget about it and that's it. Or buy Samsung Kit 1600MHz which really can be OCed (1.35V by BIOS only) to 1866 easily or to 2133 easily if you have I5 CPU.
-
I use combination Intel XTU and unlocked Alienware BIOS. Works fine and nice speed boost for free
-
I thought that I'd bought 2x Kingston SO-DIMM 8GB KIT DDR3 2133MHz HyperX CL12 Plug and Play and Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz CL9 sold.
But I guess I'll leave it up to the next notebook.
