I'm looking into overclocking my su7300 when it's plugged into the AC, and I'd like to know that if the Asus UL series can overclock the fsb from 800mhz to 1066mhz with turbo33 for a 33% boost in cpu power, is it possible for me to do the same with program like setfsb? I'd ultimately like to have two profiles - a reasonable overclock when plugged into mains, and a safe undervolt (mainly for temp rather than battery life) when on battery.

    should be possible.

Do you know what clock generator (PLL) is used in your notebook?

    Anyone actually tried this?
I have a SU9600 and was looking at Everest yesterday.
What is the overclock feature that Everest shows?
Overclocking is not something i would do now as i don't need it but i am curious about this topic.

Everest is showing that IDA is enabled.

Your CPU will disable one core and overclock the second core to 1.8ghz when you are running a single threaded app and you need the extra boost in performance.
