Did anyone have success using setfsb to overclock the cpu on the m1530? If so can you list the clock generator used.

what is the pll you used? does the setfsb have to be mobo specific?

The PLLs are mobo specific.

The PLL will differ from motherboard to motherboard, and the correct one must be used (I'm not sure what exactly happens if an incorrect one is used, hopefully nothing but possibly disaster). Make sure you find out what your PLL is and whether it allows overclocking before trying to overclock - find it either by Googling or (the safer method in terms of being sure you have the right one) by physically disassembling the notebook. I highly doubt it will allow overclocking, considering I know the Inspiron 1520 does not, but you may be lucky.
