Hi, i've read somewhere about people who have used Phoenix BIOS editor to mod their BIOS and are able to overclock their CPU on locked systems, Does this really work?

Nope. Its all BS. Modding a Phoenix BIOS is a PITA, because its almost impossible to get the Phoenix BIOS Editor Pro, which costs a couple of 10 grands.

The only way of overclocking the 6920 is by upping the FSB, which is also not possible on your laptop, for now.

If i knew how to get the PBE Pro for free, would it still be a PITA?

If you want a faster CPU, you're looking at an upgrade - and it won't be enough of a jump to justify the cost.
Besides, why the upgrade? What's running slow?

Well, well. Anyone here know BIOS editing?
Acer Aspire 6920G throttling really annoying. Even RMclock could stop it by pressing "disable/enable throttling" while the machine start throttle, but it was very very boring and very very irritating to click it. Worst when EPIC situation.
