    hi.

i've searched around the forum a little, and i'm trying to find some help OCing my desktop... but for some reason:
    • the pc doesn't start correctly
    • the pc blocks while OCing
    • does nothing....

both with the GPU and CPU.

for the CPU, i've tried the BIOS configuration, Asus OC N.O.S. or something like that, and for the GPU, i've tried the Catalyst Control Center overdrive function.

what can i do to correctly OC my PC. please thanks...

    everything is up to date.

    specs are:
Phenom x4 9600 (its old, have to change it, but will OC it until i change it)
Asus m3a32 MVP bla bla..... board.
dual hd3870, again, will upgrade with the processor and the board.
    4 gigs of ram.
    win 7

    thanks in advance

I cant really help you with that, I have only ever overclocked notebooks.

What I can help you do is get setfsb to support your PC, then you can use software to overclock. That may help you diag the problem.
