hello all, i currently have a clevo p170hm and am considering upgrading from my 6990m to either a 7970m, 680m, or a 675mx. but i have a few concerns,
if i were to upgrade to an nvidia card would i have to swap out to nvidia heatsinks or would i be okay with mine?
the 680m is rather pricey so im leaning toward either the 7970m or 675mx does anybody have any thoughts on which to choose?
if i were to go with the 7970m has the hdmi issue been resolved?
thanks for the help!

I haven't see any one post HDMI issues with the 7970m. Search through this thread. http://forum.notebookreview.com/sager-clevo/688656-guide-blind-flashing-amd-7970m-modded-vbios-clevo-p1xxhm-laptops.html
Hope this helps -
thank you very much, im gonna go with the 7970m then, do you know a good place to sell my 6990m to help fund it? im too new to these forums to use the marketplace

On eBay, the 7970m and 680m have both sold for similar prices. Just look around I'm sure you'll find something. -

I hope you enjoy your 7970m! It's definitely the better value over the 680m, even though the 680m is considered the better (i.e., more powerful) card.
Don't be shy about trying to sell that card here on the NBR marketplace either - or at least asking for a proper selling price point for it. -
Sounds good i'll post it on there, its funny you posted actually, my computer is from Prostar!

6990M is a very good card, why change it at all? There is also a way to go for Crossfire, I've seen them going for around 200$ recently.
