    P4 3.0ghz/ Hyperthreading - Powerbook G4 1ghz

    Should I or not? basically am I losing any performance?

    I oftern use PS CS2, AI CS2, etc.. I am a graphic designer, no games or anything like that..mostly net and these apps,

    What do I do?? Can someone please shed some light on this.. I dont wanna lose my p4 for something less!!

    Powerbook G4 1Ghz is no match for P4 3.0Ghz. P4 will definitely considerably faster than G4 1Ghz.

    Definately the G4 @ 1GHz will be slower than your current laptop and it is only a matter of time before the G4 becomes pretty much outdated especially with the Macs switching over to Intel processors. So support for the Power cpu's will definately go down and the availabilty of software for the older architechture will also decline. So, i really wouldnt recommend going to a Powerbook. If you do want a Mac then getting the newer Macbook Pro's might be a good idea.
