You cannot overclock a non-Extreme Core 2 CPU. What you can overclock is the FSB.

For that you need to know the PLL no. printed on the Clock Generator Chip. And to know that, you'll either have to disassemble the notebook and locate the clock generator chip and hope it is software-supported or just download tools such as SetFSB, Clockgen, CPUCool, etc. and try out all the PLLs listed in them. The one that'll work fine, will be your clockgen chip's PLL no.

Will it be worth it in the end? Dunno - CPU overclocking is only gonna help in CPU-intensive tasks, and overclocking - trying out random PLLs, may cause H/W and S/W damage. Overclocking is not meant for notebooks (why? - Heat!), especially if you don't know what you're doing.

if your cpu temps are sub- 40c atm go for it. However as andy said trying out random plls and seeing if they work may be your only option... and IME trying out random plls is risky. Look in your laptop's manual... see if a pll is printed there.

    Ok thanks

I just wanted to see my clock speed higheer :D :D

But since I don't know what I'm doing and don't want to risk my cpu, I'm going to lay off the overclocking

Thank you both for your informative advice (rep added)
    Much appreciated
