Wanted the P9500 but hard to get for a decent price in the UK, grabbed a T9600 for £170 though, Retails at £450, Got a 2GHZ P7350 which is more than fast enough, but wanting a slight increase in gaming, 9600MGT 512MB DDR3, 4GB DDR3, 1366*768, and a speed boost for Video Encoding at high bitrates, although I get an 800MHZ boost and double the cache, I gain an extra 10W, so less battery life, but the Acer 6935G has a large heatsink and vent for the CPU, as well as a large fan at the bottom which sucks cold air in and blows it directly over the heatsink and out the back, one of the bets cooling systems I have seen...

    What are your thoughts?

Also what is the best thermal grease? I was thinking of the Zalman Silver Bottle stuff, as it has a brush so easy to coat the heatsink as well as CPU

Thermal grease goes in between the CPU/GPU and it's heatsink, and helps transfer heat more effectively to the heatsink (correct me if I'm wrong)

I say stick with the P series. You won't get that much of a difference while encoding or gaming.

It's a good upgrade for video encoding, but I doubt you will notice a difference in games. Differences in thermal grease aren't too significant (maybe 2-3 degrees), don't worry too much, get whatever you like.

If you have any issues with stuttering in Crysis theyll definitly be gone. I have the P7450 and find Crysis has minor minor issues in vista at stock clock. Use setfsb or the built in overclock the sound stutter goes away.

Im putting a T9600 in this in the next week or so 2.8Ghz versus 2.13 and double the cache. Losing some battery life and adding some heat but I was getting a zalman cooler anyways and need mobility not battery life.
