    Hey,

I'm considering buying a new notebook, which should be more portable than my current system. Right now I have a notebook with a Intel Core 2 Duo P7350 processor. I've been pretty happy with the performance of this computer.
I'm thinking about buying a ultraportable with a SU7300 processor. My question is: is this processor in any way comparable with the P7350? And would it be a good choice to go for a processor of this type?

    Thanks

have a look here for benchmarks.

and here for cpu feature comparison.

The SU9300 will be soldered to the motherboard, the P7350 will be in a socket.

P7350 should be better... also easier to change compared to SU7300 as it is socketed unlike SU7300 which is soldered to motherboard.

Exactly. The entire SU Intel line is going to be BGA which is soldered to the mainboard. The P7350 is going to give you much better performance in applications like encoding or decoding. Also the P-series is a regular socket P processor, and user upgradeable.
