    Hello!

A friend of mine is considering buying new RAM for his notebook, and wants to know this -

    Is there a difference between PC-5300 DDR2 and PC 2-5300 DDR2?

If there is a difference, what is it, and is it worth buying the better one (there must be price difference right?), for a non-gaming/non-encoding/heavy-computing purpose notebook?

    Thank you! :)

They should be the same thing, a lot of people forget the 2 after the PC.
Just make sure that they are Sodimm, 200pin and DDR2

They're the same as noted. Some manufacturers forget that the correct designation for DDR2 RAM is PC 2.
