    Hi there,
I did a forum search and could not find my answer, but I saw lots of helpful guys!
I've bought two 1Gb DDR2 PC2-5300S modules manufactured by Hynix some while ago for my Dell Inspiron 6400. My CPU is an Intel mobile core 2 duo T5300 (is that related to the RAM name somehow?).

I need to upgrade my system due to higher workload. I detected with si Sandra and CPU-Z software that my RAM is running at 266MHz, though PC2-5300 is supposed to run at a maximum speed of 333MHz!

Both Sandra and CPU-Z indicate that the maximal bandwidth of my memory slot is 333MHz.

What is wrong? Did I get a bad RAM module, or is my system inherently incapable of running its RAM at max frequency?

The CPU has a FSB of 533 MHz, so the RAM is also limited by this. (533/2= ~266).
