    How large is the difference between them in practical use?

    In practical use you will never notice a difference between PC2 5300(667mhz) and PC2 4200(533mhz) the only time that you will see a slight difference is if you live your life running benchmarks :) . I recently upgraded to 667mhz ram and cannot notice any difference.

    thats what i thought. Benchmarks say there is, but i know benchmarks aren't always practical. Thanks for clearing that up.
