Hey guys, I know there's a lot of documentation out there, but I am kind of paranoid of buying something I can't use.

I want to purchase this RAM:
    DDR2 4GB PC5400 DUAL SO-DIMM OCZ
    http://shop2.outpost.com/product/5284717

I can get it for $60AR.

    I run Vista x64.

    TWO questions:
-Will I see a noticeable increase in performance (in what types of tasks) going from 2GB to 4 GB?
    -Is this a good deal?

On a 64bit system you should have 4gigs to take advantage of the 'word' size. I have 4 gigs and my buddy only has 2 and we can tell a difference.
no idea about the ram specs sorry.

It will work on your computer. For users outside of the US, that seems like a good deal. And yes I noticed a difference going from 2GB to 3GB then 4GB :). I multitask with programs like Fireworks, Dreamweaver, iTunes, Skype, MSN Messenger, Spyware sweeper, AVG Antivirus, and multiple browser windows open.

Sponsi, where can you get a better deal than this...I'm inside the U.S. The lifetime warranty is attractive to me, but let me know if you know of any other deals better than this one.

    Thanks

If you prefer a more well known brand there's great deals on Buy.com such as this: http://www.buy.com/prod/crucial-2gb...m-ddr2-laptop-memory/q/loc/101/203447468.html
buy them separately so you can get the Google discount twice and your total is only $51.98.

How do you get the Google discount? I can't remember which cards I've registered or whatever.

It's e-mail, if you used it before then you can't use it again. They check mailing addresses also I believe now.

That's why you create multiple email address'. I've opened 3 Google Checkout accounts so far.

Click on the Buy.com link, and go to Google checkout "What's this" link for more information. Basically they give you $10 your first purchase when you sign up.
