I'm gonna buy the w3j and I want to put in the new ATI 1900XT graphics card. Is it just a matter of popping out the x1600 and popping in the 1900? I'm a total newbie and don't even know how a PCI express slot works. Thanks in advance.

Sorry bro, it's not gonna happen. There not enough bandwidth to transfer those kind of speeds. You do also know what kinda heat that shizzle generates to? Your talking about a mainstream card, which if did exist would cost and astronmoical premium. Maybe in the future they can work on a standard but it won't be on this one.

Unless the graphics card is based on MXM or other uch modular technology, it is not going to be upgradable. Notebooks are more complicated than desktops when it comes to graphics upgrade and is not easy and in most cases impossible.

If the W3J is like the previous W3V, the graphics card will be soldered to the motherboard and absolutely not upgradable. Someone's gonna have to open up a W3J before this can be confirmed though.

The x1600 gpu is an excellent graphics card and one of the best you will get in a Laptop at the monment. If u want blistering graphics performance from a laptop your only option is the Dell XPS with its high end Nvidia Gpu's. (Geforce 7800,7900) Otherwise you can forget it.
The x1600 should still be able to play the newest games at medium-high settings though. And should be good for 2 years. -
Yeah the 1600 seems to be a nice vid card. I saw a thread on mxm and seems to be a pretty nice thing, wish mine had that tech.
