so.. heres the thing.. Ive recently bought Asus G73SW 120 hertz 3D Laptop.
I also have a samsung syncmaster 2233RZ 120 hertz .. How do i connect these 2 and get 120 hertz on my samsung 2233rz. Tried the dual dvi (monitor) to a HDMI (laptop) but i can only select max 60 hertz.
    Some way to fix this?

    Regards JOkke from Norway :D

"Bundled with the G73SW is 3DTV Play from NVIDIA, which projects the high definition graphics of this notebook onto any compatible 3DTV via HDMI 1.4. This includes 3D video, games and photos, taking the experience into the living room."

So, it seems like you simply need an HDMI 1.4 compatible cable to get it on your monitor @ 120Hz - if your monitor has HDMI 1.4 inputs, that is.

    Good luck.

It should have HDMI 1.4. So Far it seems only that is being used for 3D. Just get a HDMI 1.4 cable and make sure its 1.4. There are 1.3 cables which won't work.

Thanks for reply guys.. But my monitor only has a DVI output.. So i guess i cant get 120 hertz then.. Is it possible to use a Hdmi 1.4 cable and put a DVI adapter on the other end?

If it wont work with DVI you wont be able to use a DVI adapter at the end.

Unless there is some sort of "handshake" that has to happen to tell the computer to unlock the 120hz option I would think it would work though.

You may need to change the drivers on the laptop to get around the issue or even force your own custom refresh rate via driver hacking or EDID hacking.
