Hi Forum,
I have a Sony K PCG-K415B laptop. My C drive is nearly full but my D drive has plenty of room. How do I partition it? I would appreciate your comments and help.

So, you want to merge the D: into C:, or you want to resize C: ?

If you are using Vista you can try the built in Disk management partitioning tool. Here is a guide to it:

Personally I prefer Gparted. It operates outside Windows via a bootable CD.
If you have trouble with the above link, give it a shot.
ISO file for the Gparted live CD:

A gParted guide:

Just a warning, though - modifying your Vista partition using GParted may cause an odd glitch that will prevent it from booting. A glitch that can be fixed with a recovery disc, but a glitch nonetheless.
If I were you, I'd use Vista's Disk Management to delete D: once you've gotten all your stuff off it, then extend C: to fill the remainder of the space. -
I want to resize the C drive. Thanks.

I am using XP.

Use GParted, easy and safe.
But go through its documentation first. -
Thanks Andy.
