I just upgraded my Acer Aspire 2012wlmi from stock 512mb of RAM to 1 gig of PC2700 Patriot Extreme Performance RAM. I hadn't heard anything bad about the Patriot RAM and it had a good price and timings so I bought 1 gig of it. Certain games on the computer, like X-Plane, seem to be running significantly slower since I upgraded. The old RAM was Infineon 2x256mb with a 2.5-3-3-7 timing I blieve and the new stuff is 2-2-2-5. PC Wizzard gives a memory bandwith of just under 1 gig/sec which it says is the same speed as 133MHz SDRAM...Anyone have any ideas why the RAM is functioning so slowly or is Patiot memory just slow??
