    Use a SATA external enclosure.

An enclosure is just a small case that the hard drive goes inside of. You use this in place of putting it inside of a large desktop case. You will need a SATA enclosure and it will have a SATA and power connector port on the back of the enclosure.

You can use something like this. The SATA hard drive fits inside of it. It gets power from the encolsure, and hooks into PCMCIA sata, giving you full hard drive speed.

    Does that help?
