I'm looking to buy a notebook from a dealer that lets you customise your product.

For the CPU choice, next to the new Penryn processors, T8300 T9300 T9500, it says "Only works with Vista".

Is this in any way true? I can't imagine a processor would only work with one OS...

Methinks you re looking at Zepto.

Strangely, the T8100, which is also Penryn, doesn't have the Vista-only qualification.

it's FALSE!!! that's what we call pushing vista since not many people buy it on it's own. they need a little shove.

Zepto have clarified that it is a matter of compatibility testing and not any known incompatibility.
