    Quite honestly I'm stuck for choosing between the two.
    Which CPU (Phenon II 720/ C2D E7500) do you think is superior in terms of:
    Overclock ability
    Gaming
    Multimedia (encoding)
    Thermals
    Benchmarks
    Anything else you can think of

    this should go in the off topic section.
    720 BE should be better, particularly at encoding and gaming, it's a BE so it's easy to overclock, reported to overclock to at least 3.5ghz. not sure about thermals, but both of them should be okay with a decent aftermarket cooler, assuming you would get one since you mentioned overclocking.
