Hi. I want to use my mobile phone(sony ericsson z710i) as a GPRS modem for my laptop and i was wondering how it would be better to connect it for my notebook's battery.. I can use either usb or bluetooth. I know that BT is a little power hog, but the phone also charges itself when connected to usb, which also eats up the battery. So, what do you think?

    Thanks in advance

I use my phone as modem, and always have it tethered via usb.
Plus, it will be faster. ;) For some reason through bluetooth, I could never connect faster than ~300kb, but with USB, it's over 800kb. :)

Speed isn't an issue, as i use gprs, which is not exactly a speed demon(aprox 56k). But, as i said, the phone charges itself when on usb, and i suppose that chews through my battery very fast.
