I've done a search and didn't find anything.
Has anyone on here that uses Lightroom and CS5 on a regular basis upgraded from a platter drive to a SSD?
If you have what kind of performance increase have you noticed?
Thanks

I've used LR since 1.0 and to a lesser extent Photoshop. I switched to an SSD 2 years ago and found the user experience to vastly improved in all aspects of RAW photoediting. I do it for fun not as work so perhaps some of the heavier users will chime in. I will say I'll never see a downside to an SSD as part of well rounded photoediting setup.

The most noticeable difference in LR is when using the arrow keys in Library mode. Otherwise, get the fastest processor with the most RAM you can buy/afford. An SSD is nice to have - but LR needs more than just a pretty storage sub-system to perform appreciably better.
