I'm receving a pentium m 1.8 ghz now, 400mhz fsb to put in my Dell Inspiron 6000, and I was going to pinmod it to 2.4 ghz, wich I now know probably won't be stable :(

But, I could set the max multiplier down in notebook hardware control, so that It will run at maz 2.26 ghz and probably be rock stable :)

But but, could the cpu become unstable when loading windows, before I can reduce the multiplier, or can you reduce the max multiplier by pinmodding it some more, moving a jumber etc?

    Regards Johan, ghz hungry

What kind of performance are you looking for?

You may have heat issues with that - also, doing so will void your warranty.
