    Hi

I just bought a new laptop and there is one pixel missing. I can put up with just one pixel missing but does this mean its likely that as one is missing more will go missing?

    Thanks
    Carl

No it's normal to have dead pixels, and it doesn't mean that they will spread either. However, since you just bought it, I would recommend you to either exchange the unit or RMA it if there is a "zero dead pixel" warranty.

What brand and model is your notebook?

Toshiba which was bought from John Lewis. I believe John Lewis doesn't cover the laptop for dead pixels (may only be for laptops over a certain age).

Just went to their website. I think you are fine, you should be able to exchange or refund it for another model or product.
