I am about to buy a M4 128Gb SSD for my new used DV7 laptop.

This laptop will be my desktop and my all PC until approx Sept when I buy a new and long term notebook for the next 3 years.

Should I spend the $200 est cost right now for a 128gb SSD to then move to my new UBER laptop in sept.... or wait till sept and buy a new 256gb SSD for the long run?

My primary use (85%) will be online stuff, Win7 and MS Office 2010. Rarely will I ever play games.

So, buy 128gb now or wait till Sept and get a 256gb then while continuing to use my current 750gb(5400) HD.

    Thanks for the help!

SSD's are something you should easily be able to carryover from machine to machine. If you can get a good deal on a 256GB then do it. I just think it'd be a waste of money to get a 128GB now and a 256GB in another 8 months. But depends, do you plan on selling your DV7 when you get your new laptop?

    Hey HTWN!
No, my goal, in the next 9 months, is to give my new used dv7 to my son since he wants a big screen and a heavy weight is "good" for him to use at home in his last year of HS.., while his current new Lenovo will go to my daughter at that time for her use at college. SO, the new laptop with the new, or transferred SSD will be mine, mine, mine buuuahahahahaha! :D
