The resolution on this laptop is 1366x768 is that pretty low to game on? I'm looking at this other laptop that is by 1600.

Tsunade_Hime such bacon. wow

So is there a huge difference between a laptop with 1300 resolution as apposed to a 1600?
-
There is:
1024x768
1280x768
1280x800
1366x768
1440x900
1600x900
1600x1200
1650x1050
1920x1080
1920x1200
those are the most common. -
The 14.5 laptop can go up to 1366x768 & the 15.4 can go up to 1680x1050. So is there a big difference??
-
It's all relative. We could easily give you numbers in terms of how many pixels you'd lose/gain but that's pointless if you don't see it yourself.
Try and find one in a store to see for yourself. We can only give you our personal opinions but whether or not that matters to you as much as to each of us is really your own preference.
Fact is, you will see more on the screen with the higher resolution(note I didn't say bigger physical size, just higher resolution). So higher resolution = more content displayed on the screen.
Whether or not this difference is "huge" or "worth it" is entirely up to you. -
It's not just pixels but screen size as well. For 14", the screen is small enough that 1600x900 is pushing it in terms of what you can comfortably read, and 1080p is going to cause some serious eye strain. I tried gaming on 14" 1366x768, and found it difficult to aim because the targets were so small. I much prefer the 15.6" screen I'm using now.

if you want more res , you need 15.6 at least... 1600X900 is best on 14.5 but on 15.6 you can get full HD..

Yeah in terms of gaming, 768p is best for 14'' laptops, 900p best for 15.4'', and 1080p best for 16~17''; from both the GPU performance perspective and eye-strain perspective.

However, when it comes to text and web browsing, you want higher resolution. Lower resolution displays in those use cases can be a pain in the butt. -
On a small screen with a high resolution, you can get away with playing games in less-than-native without too much pixelation or distortion due to each individual pixel being so small.
