    I dropped my laptop and now when I turn it on I get some error and it says the os cant be found, does this mean my hard drive is done with or is there something i can do to save it? Its an Aspire 3680.

    I'm pretty sure you are able to run a hard-drive test, although I am not completely sure about this. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

    Pull the HDD, backup and save as much as you can, then run a hard drive test (chkdsk or other) and hope for the best.

    Would starting with disk support help at least getting it running? OS CD?

    i would run a linux live cd distro to see if you can access your drive, i think your hard drive could have skipped or got damaged when you dropped it. Odds are that drive could be toast and you might just need to replace it with a new one. sorry about that

    Hard drive test? I have no disk for it..
