That blows man, Newegg has soddimm next to it, and they sent you ddr2 desktop ram. If you report the problem, they should give you the money you spent as credit towards another purchase.

Wow that sucks, it is definitely newegg's fault.

Does the model number on the ram you recieved say PSD24G667K(without the S before the K) and what does the invoice say?

    PSD24G667SK is laptop memory
    PSD24G667K is desktop memory.

Either way call Newegg and they should issue an replacement.

Interesting...I would still contact NewEgg and see what they say( i wonder what they will say).

Check the Hot ram deals thread for great prices on memory.

This is definitely not NewEgg's standard level of treatment. Just be nice, they might surprise you.

I don't think NewEgg puts the stickers on the RAM. Just get in touch and switch it out. No big deal.

Just contact newegg, they will take care of it. Like Greg said, this is not their standard of service. I've made many purchases from them and have had to return an item or two, never having a problem.

Glad your problem got solved. I'll add my voice to the chorus regarding Newegg though. I've dealt with them for years now. Their customer service is, bar none, the absolute best. I wish that all such vendors would take a page from Newegg's book.
