    Hi All,

Plan to install SSD on my HP DV6-6001TX .Can please recommend a good brand to install. Currently in my mind is Intel® SSD 320 Series 120GB SATA MLC, 75 & 90 Microsecond, SATA 1.5 Gb/s and 3.0 Gb/s. Is this the best SSD for my notebook.

Please recommend guys if you have any other brand in mind. Many Thanks

Given that my only SSD experience is with a 256GB Crucial C300 in a SATA II laptop, I have nothing but high praise for the drive.

I'm currently using an M4 128GB on an x61s SATA I (waiting for a modded bios to come out of beta, before updating it to SATA II), and have been extremely impressed so far even on SATA I (1.5 Gb/s)...

i have the vertex 2, but have heard really good things about the intel drives. they arent as fast as sf drives, but seem to be more reliable and not have the problems that some sf drives have.

ive used corsair force too, and was happy with it.

Intel 320, X25-m, Samsung 470, Crucial C300 and M4 are all very good SSDs.

It depends on the current pricing what is the best deal.

If speed is your priority I'd go with Crucial.

just stay away from sandforce based ssds. all the ones phil listed are legit. intels are alot slower at writes than the other ones but most reliable.

intel 320, samsung 470 and the crucial c300. samsung 128 gig is $210 @ newegg and the 256 gig version is $420 right now. the samsung 470 256 gig version is the best value right now, even cheaper than the crucial m4.
