This is my first brand new notebook, and I'm not sure if I did some thing wrong or what. I can't get the touchpad to work right. The scroll doesn't work, and I'm typing and all of a sudden there goes my cursor and the pointer. I'm not anywhere near touching the pad.
I was also kinda of surprised when I opened the box an d there were no directions at all. I reinstalled the drivers, am I supposed to do anything else?

You can configure the touchpad in control panel.
If you can get into the control panel, you will find a mouse and human input devices icon. Click on that and you will be able to set the controls of your touchpad.

If you cannot get the touchpad to work after reinstalling the proper driver, restarting and configuring the touchpad, then I would contact the manufacturer for a replacement touchpad.

I have the mouse option but nothing about human input devices. Plus under the mouse and other devices it lists HID-compliant mouse, and PS/2 Compatible mouse. Both are listed as working properly which do I get rid of. Typing is hell right now

When you clikc on the mouse, you should get a bunch of settings.
Usually touchpads are made by synaptics. When I click on my mouse icon, a bunch of synaptics configuring options appear.

Neither the HID(human interface device) or the PS/2 mouse are the touchpad.
You must not have the appropriate drivers installed, if you only get HID and PS/2 options.

Let me try and find a driver for you

Do you use Vista or XP?

    These drivers are through Eurocom:
If you have Vista, here is the link you want to use for the driver:
    http://www.eurocom.com/support/drivers/zip/M570RU/Vista/Touchpad64bit.zip

If you have XP, here is the link you want to use for the driver:
    http://www.eurocom.com/support/drivers/zip/M570RU/XP/06TouchPad.zip

If you want to download through Sager, then here is the link:
