Been considering the M4 or Samsung 830 and came upon the Plextor and (rebadged Plextor) Liteon SSDs for sale.

Apparently they use the same Marvel controller as the M4(is that true?) and rank high(10th) on one site which ranks the SSDs by benchmarks. Interestingly, the site has the M4 and Samsung 830 under them and has a Patriot SSD listed as #1?

Anyone have any experience or thoughts on these SSDs?

i have had the plextor 128gb m2p for about 2 months now, and it is being used for the OS and programs. no big problems (i had one bsod, and some programs, especially adobe reader, seem to have randomly some slow response, but not sure whether any of these are ssd related). there is a new firmware out on the plextor site that i haven't yet installed, again mainly because i haven't had any major problems.
for some benchmarks when i first got it, see my thread http://forum.notebookreview.com/solid-state-drives-ssds-flash-storage/623457-plextor-m2p-first-impressions.html
i've run more recent benchmarks, but they are similar though the 4K results may be tending lower (it seems to fluctuate somewhat). except for the 4K results, the benchmarks seem to indicate that the m2p is an all-round performer, but may not put out the big numbers in some tests.
