This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    don't see much mention of Plextor SSDs here, but it looks like they are very similar (maybe even same as?) to the Crucial M4 and they get good reviews at Newegg and are slightly cheaper than the Crucial. any thoughts?

    There was a comment in the Dell Precision forum that this was the SSD shipping in the new M6600. Say what you will about Dell but I do think a company like that keeps a close eye on hardware reliability.
