I was heard that Santa rosa - based laptop would be released in April/May 2007. I am planning to buy a laptop, but not in hurry. I wonder if to buy Core2Duo now or wait until the next generation of platform. And how fatser is it compared to the current CPU. Pls give me some advice.
    Thanks

Well, I think you answered your own question. If you do not need it right now, it's best to wait until you do and grab the newest stuff on the market. The Santa Rosa will be markedly faster than the current Merom offerings and potentially offer even better battery life in notebooks. How much exactly depends on what you use it for, and remains to be seen.
