In the pi calculating thread, a lot of people seemed to have Core Duos, so let's see how all this looks in a poll.

P4, which may soon be replaced with a Duo. Despite all the hating on laptops with P4's, mine's been good to me, even with battery life.

Fast enough for my games, and can frag for hours and it barely gets warm. Thanks to my 69F room temp of course lol.

Is it actually called "Intel Core Solo?" To be honest, I'm not a fan of making up names just because they are opposite to the name of another series, such as "Intel Core Duo."

A Diablo II example of this was people calling characters "Softcore" characters if they were not Hardcore characters. Sorry if I pay attention to details and technicalities

Well.. In my desktop I have an AMD 3200+ running at 2.51 ghz. But I sold my XPS M140 with a Pentium M, and I'm going to be getting either the Asus W3j or A8jm by the end of the month. So Core duo is what I'll have ;)

in the process of replacing my amd 64 3200+ with a 1.8 core duo. Cant wait to have some battery time! :) My fsc amilo a 1630 needs a 160watt transformer to power the thing and is the size of a household brick. Keeps my feet warm though!!!

Cowabuna, look at the number of Core Duos! You people replace your computers too often. :p

I'm still using my "old" Pentium M 750 1.86GHz in my Dell (gaming rig) and a Turion 64 ML-40 2.2GHz in my Compaq (school/work/otherwise on the road machine).

Yeah, the less powerful processor is in my gaming rig. Go figure.
