Before buying my laptop I was told I'd get 2.5-3 hours from the battery.
Im lucky to get just over an hour when just using email and web browser.

Im very disappointed with this as it means I would not be able to play games or watch a movie if the battery wont last long just when surfing the net.

Is there anything I can do to maximise the battery life, or am I stuck with this?

Try dimming the screen some and make sure the CPU is not running at full throttle.

On my Dell 1150, I got 4 hrs of battery life just for taking notes. As using the wifi, at least 2 1/2 - 3 1/2 hrs.

Install Notebook Hardware control. Then set thepower settings to save battery life. I can get 5hrs. on a 12cell battery while doing web surfing and basic things. :)

    Lucky you guys.
Its not running at full CPU and monitor is dimmed.

Just got a reply back from the manufacturer.

I was told by the shop sales staff the battery would last up to 3 hours.
Now Pioneer tell me it will last 60-90 minutes.

Very misleading sales tactics, I wish I never bought this notebook now.

How long have you had it? Perhaps your credit card company can offer some assistance.

No, they have nothing to do with Pioneer the audio company.

And I think its too late now. Their service is shocking, the person who answers emails can't even spell properly in english.
He told me they will replace the battery, i said dont bother as it would be just as bad.
I also warned him to advise his resellers not to lie to customers about battery life.

I won't be recommending Pioneer notebooks to anyone in future.
Next time I will just get a Dell.
