    Hello,
I was wondering if someone knows how to fix something like this:
    https://abload.de/img/20170623_204518g3krf.jpg

As u can see there is a red shadow line kind of thing. It only appears on dark colors or dark grey/black. It does not appear on bright colors, red, blue, green, white etc.

The red shadow also only appears on dark colors after I used the notebook for aroun 10min+. When i start the notebook up, the line isn't there, even on dark colors, but appears over time.

I hope anyone knows how to fix this issue.

My guess here is this is your panels form of light bleeding. If this is true then it is an issue with the panel and little can be done besides a new panel.

That's not bleed, that's pressure damage to the panel.

Bleed is diffuse, gets brighter towards the edges and typically is achromatic (though not always).

Pressure damage (enough to damage but distinct from an impact that causes cracks) shows up as in the image, as either independent spots/blotches in the case where the part of the lid that presses into the panel is flat, or it follows the structure of something that sticks out from the lid, either part of the lid or something running behind the lid that's between the pressure spot and the LCD. It is usually reddish or yellowish. It can also be caused by the keyboard pressing into the screen from the front. It is not correctable, once the damage shows up it is permanent.

I only though bleed, as it seems there is a blurry red tint too. Kind of hard to tell by the pic itself.

Guess I was focusing on the line but you're right, there's bleed there too in the upper right.

No it's not bleeding, it only looks like it because it's direcly in the sun and got some dirty spots on it, the poor camera quality + sun + dirt makes the relfections look like bleeding.

I don't think it's pressure damage. If it was pressure damage it would always show up right? As already stated at the beginning, the first 10-20mins (sometimes it takes a bit longer) there is no spot, even on dark tones, it only appears over time there.

For instance, if I would turn off my notebook wait for around 20 minutes and start again then it's gone. I got a LCD screen that got pressure damage and those marks are always present no matter what.

Problem is pics will not do the issues justice. This is one of those things where you really have to be there to see it properly.

Could be lighter damage, but maybe check with your reseller and see if you can start a ticket on it. I have seen a lot of screen damage though, and while I'd be happy to be wrong, that looks just like it even if it's not there all the time.

lets assume that is lighter damage, is there nothing I could do to fix it? Since you said it's light damage, maybe there is something I could try that might work?

Not sure there is anything other than try to mitigate anything that might make it work in the future, It's not like a dead pixel where you can sometimes heat them up, or flash a bunch of colors on the screen. One of the inner layers (I think there's 10 or so in a typical screen) is broken.

I mean if the layer is broken, why does it work after for 10-20min? Also how could i mitigate it?

Any suggestion is fine, I'll try em out.

The best bet is to change the panel, but if it is a symptom typical of the panel you may be in just for more of the same.

I want to see if I can try something else before I go buy a new panel. Sure I know that a panel doesn't cost that much but it's a hassle and I would kinda want to know what you can do to maybe fix something. Who knows, maybe a solution will come up for this type of problem.

Is the panel being heated up by something behind it?

Not as far as I can tell.
