Hey guys is it possible to get a longer flex cable? I'm looking for one that's about 11-12ft long?

Chances are pretty low to find one. is it possible to make my own? For example I can get a flex cable for acer 5050 from ebay. Can I then get the thin wires and add them between the connectors making the flex cable longer? Would this work? or would the wire being too long be a problem?

    thanks

I think that they are short for a reason (to reduce interference).

I'd be surprised if you could get one that long - and that it would work.

But, I wish you luck on your search!

    Cheers!

I'm quite sure that if you were to DIY extend you a cable with like a soldering gun and various things, I really don't see why it wouldn't work. Unless signal degradation is an issue.
