Have been working with an 8 gig SDHC card for my portable apps, and am upgrading to a 16 gig SDHC this week. Occurs to me that's as large as what some of the ultraportables use. So then I began wondering if there's anyway to boot from, and run from, an SD card? Some way to tweak Windows to use it, or to boot a portable version of Linux, or ...?

FWIW, my notebook is an HP tx1000 (1210 variant - touchscreen, 2 gigs ram, Vista Ultimate) if that makes a difference.

    Thanks in advance!
