I just purchased a Lenovo S10 netbook, which of course does not have a built in DVDRW. I have an older Asus laptop with a removeable DVD-RW drive. Is it possible to get some sort of case to turn it into a USB external drive?

Is it the standard slim-line ATAPI ODD ?

Dang....I was about to link that as well. :p

Yeah it'll work fine. There are a couple of USB 2.0 to ATA/ATAPI cables as well, but the above adapter works good for me. I bought it off ebay for $10 shipped.

    Well, thanks for the confirmation!

How about this? Reading this description, it should be powered by USB, no?

I bought the one from tiger111hk for $11 and it works well, they should only need to be powered by 1 USB power adapter.
