In response to the 'Post your PCMark05 scores' thread which sorta failed, I am starting a new forum, for people to post their passmark scores. Passmark is downloadable from, http://www.passmark.com/download/pt_download.htm
and you get a totally usable, month long trial. Passmark is a utility that measures the performance of all of your hardware, and components, which can be affected by the efficiency of your OS. If you dual boot you should also run the test on both of your operating systems (XP and Vista), so we can compare the two OSes. Feel free to post screenshots of each individual set of scores, as well as your total score! Run all of the tests on a complete clean system (no applications open).

    Analysis of scores:
    Low Performance: <300
    Mainstream Performance: 300-600
    High Performance: 600-900
    Gaming Performance: >900

Here I'll start, (please follow this format)

    System Specs:
    1.5ghz Core Duo CPU
    Integrated GMA950 GPU
    Generic 2.5gb 533mhz DDR2 RAM
    Seagate ST9100824A 100gb 5400rpm HD
    Vista Ultimate x86 SP1 OS

    Hardware scores/Total score:

I don't have a CD on me so I couldn't preform the CD test. This is my system on battery power (High Preformance Power Plan) before I install my t9300 when I get home, and with out over clocking the graphics card on Balanced settings.

Do i need to run the program more than once to average the results?

It wouldn't hurt, however Passmark is quite reliable, so once should be enough.

LOL just thought i'd update again :0
I just overclocked my E6420 from 2.13ghz to 2.8ghz, by raising the bus to 350mhz. I also overclocked my ram from 800mhz to 900mhz. This was all done using the bios. Check out my score now lol, its quite a big jump ;)

thats an overall nearly 20% performance improvement. Individually my CPU score was boosted by nearly 35%. For a $500 machine, i'm very pleased. I hope once i input a dedicated graphics card, my computer will match yours :)

Sure it is, good job! :D

Yeah, overclocking proves to be quite useful sometimes, nice bang for the buck too! I have heard the ATi HD 4850 is very good, see you in the nifty graphics road then, man. :)

    Edit: Half-Asleep and did not read the whole post, sorry! ^^;

just put a cd in the drive lol , and you score should bump up quite a bit. 705 is a good score, for a laptop. Probably your hd/graphics bringing you down.
