Hey all, I'm in search of a reliable/ high performance SSD internal drive.
Capacity: 90-120GB, no need for any more than 120GB
Price: fairly affordable, I'm guessing around 100-150~
Just wondering, does the power-consumption in SSDs matter much? I mean, looking at the specs of Samsung 830 and Kingston Extreme 3k, there's a HUGE difference in power consumption. ( 2.11W to .15W, respectively.)
I'm thinking of using this SSD for my secondary HDD slot in GT70, with it running the OS and a few games and music and whatnot.
Any recommended brands/ units? I've heard Crucial and Samsung are pretty neat. What about Sandisk Extreme? How's that?
Thanks in advance everyone!!

Specs aren't a great way to compare SSDs. Check out reviews from storagereview.com or thessdreview.com. I'd personally recommend the Samsung 830 or Crucial M4 over other SSDs.

I would also add that if you need 120GB capacity; get the 240GB+ models and partition the drive (immediately) to 120 GB from the start.
Why? Because you said 'reliable/high performance'... and if you really want to keep an SSD's performance at the cutting edge of the storage envelope, you want as much free space (and fully populated channels/interleaves) as the specific SSD architecture you're considering will allow. Only the higher capacity (240GB and above) models even offer that sustained performance advantage.
While I can agree with both the Samsung 830 and the M4 (240GB or larger) suggestions, I would personally buy (another) Intel 520 Series 240GB SSD.
(Why? Mostly for the 'Intel' touch and the SSD Toolbox).
Good luck.
