    Power Jack Built into the Battery

    This idea just popped into my head about having a power jack on a notebook battery so you could recharge it without the notebook.
    I'm not talking about getting the power jack taken off the notebook. I'm talking about having a second power jack, which is on the battery so you can charge the battery without it inside the notebook and also perhaps having the option to power the notebook with the power adapter through the battery...

    What do you fellow NBR members think about this idea?

    what about the charging circuit in the notebook , would you not need one.

    12 cell batteries generally have a jack like that installed. Along with a capaciy test button that lights up a series of LEDs to indicate charge status.

    the ever popular 'notebook charging circuit is actually in the battery pack (mostly).
