I have a Clevo D900T. I recently took it apart to replace the audio board (where the headphone jack is) and now it won't turn on, but the CD player is working perfectly. I figure if it's getting power and accessing the CD drive, speakers, and audio board, the motherboard must be fine. However when I press the power button to actually boot it, I get no beeps, fans, nothing. Not even the blue light around the button comes on. I have even tried pushing the contact underneath it manually. I've reseated all the connections multiple times and tried the disconnect everything and hold the button trick, but it had no effect. At the moment it seems like the power button board itself or its cable must be damaged, but before I go through the trouble of getting a new one, does anyone have any idea if anything else could be causing this?

I have the D900K, so hopefully I can help you out.

Here are a few pics, which may help you disassemble and trouble shoot.

I remember that there are a few connectors for the audio input, so make sure that you have them in the right slot.
If you need more pictures tell me. I have my system apart, and I can readily take pictures, if you need to see which cables go where.

If you cannot get it to work, you have to do this:

    I hope this helps you

The audio board is already installed and working (tested through the CD player on the front), the problem is that I can't actually turn on the computer. I had no problems taking the computer apart and putting it back together (I have done it before). Currently I have it stripped down again to the bare necessities for turning it on - motherboard, power button board, and AC adapter. Pushing the button does nothing.

Sometimes my system will simply not turn on when I press the power button.
This is kindof an issue sometimes but I fix it by unpluggingthe power.
I sometimes have to start my system up on battery for it to boot. Once the system power comes on, and the screen comes on, I plug the ac power back in.

This happens every once in a while to me, and I have no idea why it happens.

Well I have tried it with battery only, AC only, and both all with the same result. I don't think it's a battery or AC adapter problem because, again, I can always power it up from the CD player without any problem.
