I am trying to get an old Presario 1245 running for my father in law. He got it for free, and doesn't have the money to blow on a laptop he is just gonna use for surfing the internet anyway. My question is on the RAM. It appears to use pc100, and it says it can only be upgraded to a 128mb stick. I was wondering if anyone knew if it would be possible to pull off using a 256mb stick in this machine?? I figure if I can get him a new hard drive and 256, it would run at least half way decent. I don't know about only 128 though. Right now I am looking here on ebay. So... anyone know about an old computer like this??
