Alright i recently bought a Compaq Presario CQ60-615DX Notebook PC it runs on an Intel® Celeron® Processor 900 (1M Cache, 2.20 GHz, 800 MHz FSB) with an Intel GL40 Express chipset. It’s not a bad laptop but with the processor running at 100% at start up i want to upgrade the processor. I've looked all around and have been unsuccessful with finding anything better.

ANY SUGESTIONS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!!

An Intel Pentium Dual Core T3200 or T3400 should work great. Those 2 are a good bit faster than your Celeron.

you should make the jump directly to the T4*00 or the T6**0 instead; such as the T4200 to T6200. They run cooler than the T3200 and T3400.

The laptop I'm using to type this relay has a GL40 too. It was upgraded from a Celeron to a T7300.

So basically your upgrade choices are CPUs with 667 and 800MHz FSB. This includes:
    Celeron T3*00
    Pentium T3*00
    Pentium T4*00
    Core 2 Duo T5250, T5450, T5550, T5750, T5800
    Core 2 Duo T6*00 and T6**0
    Core 2 Duo T7100, T7250, T7300, T7500, T7700, T7800
    Core 2 Duo T8100, T8300
    Core 2 Duo T9300, T9500
    + a few others
