In Adelaide, I purchased a DDR2 2Gb stick of notebook ram for $36 at MSY. Here, in Singapore, where technology is decidely more "advanced" than in Australia (on average), why is the DDR2 2Gb stick on average $70? Even eBay is ~$60. Any ideas?

    You would know. ;)

Tech stuff tends to be rather pricey in Singapore. Hard drives, RAM and Creative stuff can be an exception as they are sometimes manufactured locally. However, as moral hazard noticed, there's been an increase in RAM prices.

the ram price has almost increased by 50% over the year and somemore Singapore has always been more expensive when it comes to computer stuff due to taxes... shouldn't have bought my laptop from there... might have been cheaper in UK...
