    the problem is in:
    (1) the origenal speed of the CPU.
    (2) the crrunt core speed of the CPU. and I think it must be around 1993 MHz
    (3) the multiplaier x8 and I think it must be x10.

    I'm using Win7
    I formated 5 times
and install the last update of the bios and returne it to the default setting
and the laptop is very slow

    So help me plzzzzz

You've formatted 5 times for nothing. The CPU automatically jumps between multipliers in order to increase clock speed according to demand. This technology is called SpeedStep. Look it up for more details.

OK i find the SpeedStep there are 2 options

1- when chose Enable the multiplier = 8x

2- when chose Off the multiplier = 6x And the core speed = 1196 MHz

    what should I do?? :S

are you using any third party software like RMclock?

Have you tried with another OS like Linux Ubunto. You don't need to install it since you can use it with a live CD.

That's what I'm wondering, or has the OP ever undervolted his CPU. That core VID seems awfully low.

    There are no any software

    Is this a hardware problem???

So you've tried stressing the system and the CPU doesn't clock up to full speed?

Actually, here's a thought: on your battery or power info pages in BIOS, are you getting an "AC adapter not recognized" error?

There is most likely no problem. I would recommend leaving speedstep enabled in the bios. You could try running prime95 with cpu-z open and the core speed should increase from 1596mhz to 2ghz. You can watch the speed change in cpu-z depending on how much load you're putting on the cpu.

    I agree with trypt I don't think it's a hardware issue.

Did you have another OS before installing Win7?

Have you checked the power scheme under Win7? Try to et it to st it to "High Performance" and test again with Orthos and CPU-Z

Are using a retail version of 7 or a beta version?

Did you try to enable/disable C states or CE1 or speedstep or something like that in the bios?

This might be a good time to give up and just pin mod the PLL to 266mhz. 8 x 266 = over 2ghz so you win.
