Is there any significant loses from this?
Basically I have to go with the 667mhz FSB to get 2GB ram and a bigger HD, wondering if performance will go down or anything.

More info, maybe link.

If you use 667mhz Ram the CPU FSB will still be 800mhz (if you are useing Santa Rosa). The ram speed does not effect the FSB. 667mhz Ram is the maximum Santa Rosa can use, it does not support 800mhz ram. So unless you are getting a laptop based on a desktop chipset 667mhz is the fastest you can use.

I'll be using 667mhz RAM. I'm wondering if there is a noticeable difference and battery life (Supposely Santa Rosa imporves battery life?) between an 800mhz FSB CPU and a 667mhz FSB CPU when using the 667mhz RAM.

It's obvious that 800 MHz FSB will be faster than 667 MHz.
-
Yes it is obvious that it will be faster but will the performance and battery life be noticeable?
-
I don't trust what is said want specs you guys are talking apples and oranges!
-
No it's not gonna be noticeable, unless you're a machine (which I hope you're not).
133MHz of bus will not be noticed by a human in windows, or anything else that he/she might do with a computer. Maybe a benchmark might have different numbers, but unless you really care about that then don't worry about the FSB.
I gurantee you that if you take 1000 people and give them 2 identical notebooks but one with 667 bus and one with 800 bus, that NOT ONE person will be able to tell you which is the 800 bus computer and which is the 667 bus one. -
Alright thanks adinu.

Processor 800mhz and 667mhz FSB, different?
