So, I'm basically all but sold on a MSI GT70 DominatorPro-890 from Xotic but as it's a pricey piece of equipment, well, for me at least, I'm looking for places I can try to cut back and save money without sacrificing too much.
Here's my issue, I'm not hardware literate, I've tried google and that worked wonders on helping me understand graphics cards but processors, well, all i can find is their benchmark against other processors but as I don't know how good other processors are either I'm basically lost.
Here's my question, the default for that laptop, on Xotic, is 4th Generation Intel® Haswell Core i7-4800MQ (2.7GHz - 3.7GHz, 6MB Intel® Smart Cache), but I can cut back $109 by going with the 4th Generation Intel® Haswell Core i7-4700MQ (2.4GHz - 3.4GHz, 6MB Intel® Smart Cache). Would I notice THAT much difference? I need a laptop that will be used mostly for undemanding games but there are times when I will want to bring out the big guns and I don't want to majorly damage my gaming experience just over $109, but at the same time, that's getting close to half a week's pay for me to save...

Tsunade_Hime such bacon. wow
There isn't a huge difference between a 4700MQ and 4800MQ, that's a decent savings IMO, almost a 256 GB SSD cost. In hindsight, 100 bucks off a 2600 dollar laptop isn't a huge deal.

Yea you won't notice the difference at all.

Also, while browsing things for information I found an old post mentioning something about members of this site getting discounts from Xotic. Is that still true? If so, how? The thread mentioned PMing a rep but I looked at their profiles and saw no way to PM... -
I asked google nicely and here are are the benefits

You might see a 5-10% reduction in frames for CPU-bound games like Skyrim and SC2 with the 4700MQ. In synthetic benchmarks, the 4800MQ is about 10% faster, but for daily light usage (browsing, watching movies etc) you won't notice any difference. If you don't plan on overclocking or benching then the 4700MQ should be adequate.
